Give people a reason to return

Once people reach your site, there are things you can do to increase the likelihood that they will return. Give the users ways to interact with the site. For example, allow users to comment on articles or blog posts you have written. When users write a comment, they are much more likely to return to see others’ replies. For that reason, be sure to monitor user comments on your site and reply when you can to keep the conversation going. If your site is for a business that sells products or services, offer web-only specials to reward your online customers. You can also create a regular newsletter for your users (or RSS feed if you have a lot of news). In it, you can include links to your site and special offers (like discount codes).

Remember, increased site usage gives you more tracking data which helps you uncover more ways to improve your site!
